Mass Spectrometry as an Analytical Tool for Detection of Microplastics in the Environment

چکیده
Plastic particles smaller than 5 mm accumulate in aqueous, terrestrial, and atmospheric environments their discovery has been a serious concern when it comes to eco-toxicology human health risk assessment. In the following review, potential of mass spectrometry (MS) for detection microplastic (MP) pollutants elaborately reviewed. The use various spectrometric techniques ranging from gas chromatography–mass (GC-MS), liquid chromatographic (LC-MS) matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time flight (MALDI-TOF MS), including variants, have lapses system addressed future recommendations proposed. challenges facing microplastics discussed directions, mitigation methods, presented.

Mass spectrometry-based fragmentation as an identification tool in lignomics.
The ensemble of all phenolics for which the biosynthesis is coregulated with lignin biosynthesis, i.e., metabolites from the general phenylpropanoid, monolignol, and (neo)lignan biosynthetic pathways and their derivatives, as well as the lignin oligomers, is coined the lignome. In lignifying tissues, the lignome comprises a significant portion of the metabolome. However, as is true for metabolo...
متن کاملProcedural Modeling as an Analytical Tool for 3D Survey in Urban Design Assessment
This paper examines procedural modeling as a tool for 3D modeling creation. Procedural modeling historically has been used for 3D visualization of natural features, but with the release of the software CityEngine in 2008, the technology can easily be adopted also in problem domains dealing with urban environments. Then, we will examine and compare two types of modeling, traditional and proc...
